Last year, Destin, Florida, prepared for an onslaught of oil–that never really materialized there.  We saw a few tar chips, but the water remained mostly clear.  Sadly, the condos and restaurants also remained clear.  This year is quite another story!  It’s back to busy-business-as-usual on the Emerald Coast.  Since December, I’ve talked to 3 different locals–one in the Condo-rental business, another in the Beach Service, and another in the local retail industry–and they’ve all confirmed the same thing:  Destin is back in business, and business is GOOD!  So if you’re planning a trip to the shores, get online and schedule NOW!

If you haven’t noticed, we’re feeling the aftershocks of the Industry-Earthquake in Destin.  455 miles from Destin, Beyond Photography is feeling the summer fever.  Not only is our family longing to hit the beach, our clients are, too!  We’re fielding at least 4 phone calls per week regarding beach sessions.  Last week we scheduled sessions from Denton, TX, and Amarillo, TX!
